Walmart Advance watch instructions

I got these instructions from http://forums.watchnet.com/pdf.php?th=66271. They also worked for my model AW21302W? to turn 12-hour time to 24-hour time and turn on and off the hourly chime.

Advance AW21318W?, Battery E-CR1616?, made in China is written on the back of the watch I bought from Walmart for about $6 on 5/24/2006.I copied the instructions below from the literature sold with the watch, and attempted to improve the English.

The location of the four buttons on each Advance watch depend on the model, and are referred to as S-1, S-2, S-3 and Light (EL) in the instructions below.

Push of S-1 Button: Show alarm time in Hour and Minute.

Show Month, Date and Day of Week.

S-3 (Mode)

The watch is equipped with an electrophlorescent light (EL) backlight "indiglo", which can be activated by pushing the EL button. The LCD will light up for three seconds (or until the button is released).

Normal Display: Hour, Minute, Second and Day of week.

In normal time: Hold S-1-Button, and Display shows alarm time in Hour and Minute.

To change from a 12 to 24 hour clock, when changing the Normal Time Setting (see above), hours are displayed in the 12 hour system and then in the 24 hour system. In the 12 hour system, hours are identified by "A" for 24:00 - 12:00 and with "P" for 12:00 - 24:00, whereas in the 24 hour system, all hours are identified with "H".

The alarm beeps when the S-1 and S-2 Buttons are depressed simultaneously.

When the alarm sounds, press the S-1 or S-2 Button to stop the beeps. For some models, pressing the light button stops the beeping also. Alarm functions with a 4 to 5 minute snooze by pressing the S-2 Button.
